Tommy and Briana met on January 21st, 2017 at a local bar in Troy, NY. Their conversation started about New York City (his parent’s roots) as well as both of their favorite Gluten Free beer (Red Bridge -wild guess as Tommy worked in a beer store). As the night came to an end, Tommy asked for her number. She smiled and gave it to him, and he asked her to call him right there to make sure she wasn’t giving him a fake number. As she went to go inside, Tommy gently kissed her on the lips and that was the start of their relationship. That night they stayed up texting until Briana fell asleep. As proof, Tommy texted his Mom the night of and stated that he was in love. When you know, you know! (he still has the text)

On the morning of the engagement, Briana and Tommy headed to the City for what she thought was his birthday brunch. Tommy, who never wears a jacket, grabbed one to wear that day. Briana of course gave him some sass about the jacket, and how “his wind breaker was going to ruin pictures.” Once in Brooklyn, they walked along the water towards the Brooklyn Bridge. Tommy didn’t want to give hint to the proposal, so he left the jacket (with the ring) on the ground for photos. When they arrived, Briana noticed Tommy fumbling with his jacket and he got short of breath. He asked to take a picture together and as they posed, he turned and got down on one knee. Everyone, even the ferry passengers, cheered for them! The newly engaged couple then walked over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan, where their families were waiting to congratulate them and enjoy brunch.
