Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
Our wedding will take place within a Catholic Nuptial Mass, a sacred celebration of both our marriage and the Eucharist. In the Catholic Church, marriage is a sacrament—a visible sign of God’s grace—through which a man and woman are joined in a lifelong covenant of love, fidelity, and self-giving. By celebrating our marriage within the Mass, we place our vows before God and unite them to Christ’s sacrifice. The Nuptial Mass includes Scripture, prayers, our exchange of vows, and the celebration of Holy Eucharist. Catholics believe that in the Eucharist, the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Christ, making Communion the source and summit of Christian life. Because receiving the Eucharist expresses full unity with the Catholic Church, only Catholics who are properly prepared may receive Communion. Those not receiving are invited to remain seated and join us in prayer. Your presence and reverence are deeply appreciated as we begin our married life.
