Chicago is the city where we met and fell in love. We are huge city advocates and highly recommend walking around Michigan Ave or Millennium Park if you haven't before! Sitting and chatting at coffee shops is our favorite: La Colombe and Blue Bottle are our top choices!
Some of our favorites: Dinner - Quartinos, Eataly, Small Cheval, Lou Malnati's or Giordanos's for Chicago's famous deep dish! Coffee - Blue Bottle, La Colombe, Four Letter Word Activities - Cloudgate (the Bean) Navy Pier, Architecture Tour, Shopping, Ice Skating at Maggie Daley or Millennium, Art Institute, Field Museum (or search museums, there are tons!), Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Willis (Sears) Tower
If you enjoy thrifting, good food, and (again) coffee, Wicker Park has it all, one of our favorites, where we went this past Valentines Day, and is an all day outing with all the variety. This is one of our favorite city neighborhoods to spend time in.
If you want to stay away from the city, the suburb where our reception is held, Naperville, has the cutest downtown. There are small boutiques, shops, and coffee. Sparrow Coffee is famous for it's quality.
Another Suburb, downtown Wheaton has a similar feel with it's cute boutiques, coffee shops, and a Nelson favorite: Moveable Feast for brunch!
This is our top dinner spot! You should have a date night here too! (We split the eggplant appetizer with arugula and the rigatoni alla vodka pasta entree and it's the perfect amount.)
For all you Wisconsinites that have never had Andy's, now is your time. We love it!
