Question

What's the address?

Answer

The address is: Whitley Hall Hotel, Elliott Lane, Sheffield, S35 8NR

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

All daytime guests have already provided their RSVPs. Please can evening guests RSVP by 25th May 2026. If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume that you are unable to attend. RSVPs should be sent to: thomasandaimee@yahoo.com or inform us directly.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 12:30pm sharp so we'd ask that you arrive at least 45 minutes before to ensure you are seated on time. For evening guests, please arrive for 7pm.

Question

Can we park at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is free parking at the hotel although this is limited. Access is along Elliot Lane (note this is a small single track road), and a turn into the estate. The security gate should be open upon arrival. Please arrive early to secure a spot as the small car park can fill up fast.

Question

How will I know where to go when I arrive?

Answer

We have chosen the Parker Suite for our wedding, and signage will be outside of the door entrance to direct and welcome you to the venue. Follow the corridor by the door with the signage to access the Parker Suite.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day so we encourage all of our guests to dress to impress! We ask however to please reserve shades of sage green for the wedding party.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We would like to keep the guest list just to those who know us well therefore we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We have decided to keep our wedding day an adults only event with the exception of those named on the invitation. We hope you understand and are still able to attend!

Question

Will you have allocated seating for the ceremony or wedding breakfast?

Answer

There is no allocated seating for the ceremony itself, but please refrain from sitting on the first two rows as this is reserved for immediate family. You are free to sit on any seat without a "reserved" sign placed on it. For the wedding breakfast, allocated seating has been arranged. The table arrangement will be displayed in the venue following the ceremony.

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

For daytime guests, a set menu has been chosen by us for the wedding breakfast and has been chosen as this should be amenable to most, but if you have any dietary requirements, please let us know as soon as possible. There will also be food provided in the evening for all guests in the form of a selection of warm food. There will be a selection of other food for those with differing dietary requirements.

Question

Can I take pictures, or post photos on social media?

Answer

We would love for you to enjoy the day without distractions therefore we are having an unplugged ceremony and we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos and videos during this time. A photographer will be there to capture the memories so you don't have to. Once the ceremony is complete, feel free to take as many pictures and videos as you want. For the remainder of the day, Polaroid cameras and a camcorder will be placed out for guests to utilise, we'd love if you could use them to record memories for us! We ask however that you hold off sharing anything on social media until the bride and groom have had the chance to do so first.

Question

I've pre-booked a room at Whitley Hall, when do I need to pay?

Answer

All the available rooms at the venue have already been allocated and those with a room have been notified. Names of those in each room have been given to the venue, so you just need to call up and give your name to make payment over the phone. Payment for accommodation is required 8 weeks prior to the big day (18/07/2026). The hotel will advise you during the day when you can check in. Please discuss this with the hotel directly. Breakfast is provided as part of your booked rooms and the checkout time is 10:30am.

Question

Do you want a wedding gift?

Answer

The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. However, if you wish to give a gift, we will gratefully accept contributions towards our honeymoon which we are planning for in early 2027.

Question

What happens if there is bad weather?

Answer

Whilst we are crossing our fingers for a nice day, if the weather is bad on the day, the ceremony will be held inside. Notification will not be given to guests until the day, but rest assured there is plenty of adequate seating for the ceremony to take place indoors. As we have chosen exclusivity of the Parker Suite, we will have access to all rooms in this wing of the building up to and including the snug (closed doors will indicate the extent of the booked area). For evening guests, the evening entertainment will all be held inside.

Question

Will there be enough places to sit at the venue throughout the day?

Answer

We have selected exclusive access to the whole of the Parker Suite, meaning the outdoor areas (including garden, bar and lake pier), the main room, and both the banquet room and snug can all be used by guests.

Question

I have another question!
