How We Met

April 2nd, 2016

I (Abbey) went to rhe 2016 Carolina Cup with one of my best friends at the time. If you have been to the cup you know what its like- big hats, drinking, and lots of just walking around. Towards the end of the day my friend and I had walked over to the bathroom and when we came out my friend called out and said hey to a guy named Thomas standing outside the restrooms. Thomas was pretty out of it (remember we’re at the cup) and wasn’t pay me any attention at all. After talking for a few minutes he finally gave me his attention and decided he wanted me to come meet his mom. So I did and while talking with her we both looked up to find Thomas gone, 3 tents down with a girl on each arm...but who is surprised. We spent the rest of the afternoon together at the cup, I thought there was no way he would remember me or message me the next day. But but once it was time to go I texted myself off his phone and hoped to hear back when he was more coherent the next day. Who would’ve thought I would meet the love of my life at the cup of all places!!

The Proposal

Febuary 16th, 2019

For Valentines day I (Abbey) had suggested to Thomas that we take a trip to Savannah, GA. I don’t remember exactly how if it was me or him, bur my best friends ended up coming with us for the weekend. When the time came for us to go I noticed the whole way down to Savannah Thomas was very anxious about something, he was biting his nails and dipping the whole way down. Once we got to Savannah we met up wirh our friends at the hotel and decided to go walk around downtown. After walking around for most of the afternoon we decided to go to Lafayette square a park with lots of flowers and a fountain. Once we got to the square we walked over to the foutain and it was suggested we throw pennies in a and make a wish, Thomas began digging in his pockets he pulled out rhe ring. I immediately had a million happy tears, and so did he, he was crying so much he almost couldn’t get the words out. I of course said “Yes”!! Thomas then handed me a typed up letter he wrote me with all the things he wanted to tell me be knew he wouldn’t be able to. He included in the letter that my Meema (my grandma) had helped him pick out my ring, I then proceeded to cry even harder!! We spent the rest of the eveing celebrating with good food and drinks on River Street with our best friends, now Savannah will always be such a special place for us!!

For all the days along the way
