Sarah and Gus met in high school and remained friends, keeping in frequent contact after Gus had graduated. As Sarah was finishing up high school, after many years of being friends, Gus asked Sarah on a first date (to Chili’s of course). After that night they never left the other’s side. After graduating high school, Sarah and Gus both moved to Corpus Christi, so Sarah could pursue her education at TAMUCC and Gus in the Corpus Christi Fire Department. They spent 5 years there spending a lot of time at the beach and with great friends. Both of them were able to reach all of their goals with the other by their side, Gus joining CCFD and Sarah getting a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Sarah and Gus have always pushed each other and cheered the other on being the others biggest supporter helping them get where they are today. This led them to move back by Floresville, living in San Antonio where Gus could achieve his lifelong dream of being a San Antonio firefighter, and Sarah being a clinical therapist. Nowadays you will still find Sarah and Gus attached at the hip doing various, fun activities or enjoying dinner and drinks together, and planning their next little adventure. At the time of their wedding, Sarah and Gus will have known each other for 10 years and been dating for 8, both knowing good things take time and nurturing. They look forward to wherever the future takes them as long as they are together!
