"Why?" you may ask. To which we answer, simply, "Why not?"

As many of you are aware, back in the year 2020, we were faced with the difficult choice to set aside our original wedding plans due to the circumstances of the time. Instead, we held a modest ceremony with only our nearest and dearest kin in attendance. The world has seen no small number of changes since those days, yet our wish to share the milestones of our lives with all of you has remained steadfast. And so, while we hold fond memories of our humble pandemic nuptials, we’ve longed for the day when we might gather our cherished community to properly commemorate the love and devotion we share. With our fifth anniversary upon us, we are delighted to say—the moment has arrived!

We first crossed paths early in our college days, though it wasn’t until some years later that we truly came to know one another. The summer sun had settled over Bellingham, and with most students having returned to their hometowns, only a handful of us remained. One Sunday afternoon, following church services, a small group of us—just three in number—decided to take a modest luncheon together. During our meal, I, Thomas, took it upon myself to pose a series of whimsical questions, the final one being rather unexpected: an invitation to take part in a light-hearted superhero role-playing game. To the astonishment of us both, Chloe accepted. From that moment forward, it wasn’t long before we discovered a genuine delight in each other’s company. Before we knew it, we were spending our time together with greater purpose, our hearts slowly revealing what had already taken root: a shared affection and the possibility of something more. Within mere weeks, we confessed our feelings, and from that day to this, we’ve continued to walk side by side—even when distance placed miles between us. Our journey of togetherness is ongoing, ever unfolding with each new day.
