Hillside Gardens and Event Center 1006 S Institute St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903
The ceremony will begin promptly at 1700, please arrive with plenty of time to park and get to your seat. We suggest arriving closer to 1630 to ensure parking and plenty of time to find a seat and converse before the start of the ceremony.
There is an unlined parking lot in front of the venue. If this parking lot is full guests may park along the street.
The venue offers a golf cart to transport folks to the ceremony area.
The venue is a large garden with several seating options. We have access to the complete grounds for the wedding and guests are welcome to roam. There will be a live band and DJ services. We are hoping everyone can enjoy themselves dancing under the twinkling lights!
We kindly ask that guests follow formal dress for this event. Unlike traditional weddings, guests are welcome to wear white - the bride will be in teal. The venue has both paved and unpaved pathways - consider this when choosing shoes.
Evening temperatures can be chilly even in early October. If cooler temperatures prevail we will provide heaters and blankets in the reception area. We ask guests to keep in mind this is an outdoor venue and to prepare accordingly.
Yes! However, only the first $1,000 will covered on the bar. After that it is a cash bar. Please do not BYOB - the bride and groom will be fined by the venue.
A full meal will be catered, served family style at the tables, provided by Andiamo - the catering arm of Paravicini's in Old Colorado City. Expect pastas, braised short ribs, and chicken as the main dishes. Tiramisu, cannoli, and cake will be the desserts provided.
Everyone who does not have two individuals listed on the Save the Date (e.g. yourself and your spouse/significant other), automatically has a plus one should you wish to bring anyone. Please don't hesitate to reach out for clarification. We want to give everyone ample time to plan.
Unless explicitly listed on your formal invitation, we are keeping our younger guests to a minimum. We do apologize and understand that this may make it difficult for some to attend.
While the groom is 420 friendly, the venue is not. No smoking of any kind is allowed on the venue grounds.
We have populated the schedule tab with two planned open invitation events prior to the wedding and the day after. Please check the schedule page for more details. Please take advantage of these two extra events for opportunities to spend personal time with the bride and groom. Outside those two planned events, as anyone who's had a wedding knows, the bride and groom will be very busy. Prior to Friday, we will have daily life obligations along with final wedding preparation and family arrival. We will likely not be available. Saturday the 10th, the bride and groom will be with family and wedding party members for wedding preparations. It is very unlikely we will have any spare downtime. The bride and groom will be focusing on each other the night of the wedding. We have intentionally planned these events to give our guest maximum opportunity around the wedding to spend dedicated time with us.
We are looking into discounts on accommodations and will update the site when we have more information. We are happy to make recommendations for the area upon request. The venue is central to Colorado Springs and there are an abundance of choices.
