We're so honoured to invite you to take part in our momentous day. If you have any questions other than what is specified here, reach out via email to thiswaytoforever@gmail.com
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 12, 2025. ❣️ If we don’t receive a response by that time, we’ll understand that you're unable to join us.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, there is a dress code. ✨ ALL BLACK ATTIRE No white details please ⚪️ Elegant. Sophisticated. Polished. Glam. Formal. Gala-Style. We look forward to seeing you dressed to impress!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The events will flow seamlessly, with the ceremony starting promptly at 6:30pm. 🕡 Every moment of our wedding day is special to us, and we would love for you to experience it in its entirety. Your presence at our ceremony means so much to us as we say I do before the celebration begins! We kindly ask that you arrive on time to ensure you don't miss a moment of the celebration! 💕

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore your children, we appreciate your understanding as we keep this event adults-only. 🥂

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’ve carefully curated our guest list and, unfortunately, aren’t able to accommodate additional guests. Everyone invited has been accounted for, and we truly appreciate your understanding! 🤍

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We want to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience, so please feel free to share your specific dietary restrictions by May 12, 2025, and we will do our best to accommodate them. 🍽️

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Please note that parking on-site is limited, with some Green P street parking available in the area. 🅿️ To ensure everyone can fully enjoy the celebration, we kindly encourage guests to consider using Uber or other alternative transportation options. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Instead of a traditional registry, we would be truly grateful for monetary gifts to help us create lasting memories as we begin this new chapter together. Your kindness and support mean the world to us. 💌 🎁 If you’d prefer to gift us something tangible, we’ve selected a few useful items here: https://www.amazon.ca/wedding/share/thiswaytoforever

Question

Is the venue accessible for guests with mobility challenges?

Answer

The venue has stairs and does not have an elevator, so it may not be easily accessible for guests with mobility limitations. If you have any concerns, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to plan how we can accommodate your needs. 📌

Question

I'm not from Toronto... what travel info should I know?

Answer

🛩️ Airports: Most visitors flying in will arrive via Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) (closer to downtown). 🚌 Getting Around: UP Express Train from Pearson to Union Station ($12.35, ~25 min); Taxis/Uber/Lyft (~$50–$70 from Pearson); Billy Bishop has a free ferry or pedestrian tunnel to downtown; Public Transit (TTC): Subway, streetcars, and buses operate throughout the city.

Question

I need a place to stay. Where do you recommend I book accommodations?

Answer

💤 Tips: Book early! July is peak season for tourism and events; Consider hotels near the wedding venue or downtown for easy access to the core; Airbnb is also an option, especially for groups. The Venue is at: 218 Merton St., Toronto, ON (distance from accommodations noted below) 📍ECONOMY $150-$250 - Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites: North of the city; not far from venue; affordable but disconnected from downtown core (16-28mins) - Note: There are many more affordable options near the Toronto Pearson Airport if you're interested. It would just require longer commutes into the city. 📍STANDARD-RANGE $290-$350 - The Annex (12-30mins) - Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Toronto (10-22mins) - Cambridge Suites Toronto (14-30mins) - Chelsea Hotel Toronto (14-35mins) - Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown (14-35mins) - Pantages Hotel Downtown Toronto (12-26mins) - Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Toronto (10-22mins) - Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville (6-14mins) 📍PREMIUM-RANGE $360 - $450 - The Omni King Edward Hotel (16mins) - Delta Hotels By Marriott Toronto (16mins) - Holiday Inn Express Toronto - Downtown by IHG (9mins) - Marriott Downtown at CF Eaton Centre (12-14mins) - The Anndore House - JDV by Hyatt (8-11mins) - The Yorkville Royal Sonesta Hotel Toronto (10-12mins) - The Kimpton Saint George by IHG (10-11mins) - W Toronto (7mins) - The Broadview Hotel* (11-13mins)

Question

As a bride, does the wedding planner hire a wedding planner?

Answer

As a wedding planner myself, I'll be handling the majority of the planning ... but I’m incredibly lucky to have an amazing network of fellow event producers who will be supporting me along the way. With their expertise and my vision, I'm sure everything will come together beautifully—I get to plan my own wedding while still having a fantastic team behind me! 💫 #Experience818Events

Question

Is the wedding going to be traditional?

Answer

Not exactly! We've chosen to celebrate our love in a way that feels uniquely *us*—non-conventional, heartfelt, and unforgettable. One venue. One colour scheme. One special day. One hell of a good time. Be ready for a one-of-a-kind experience! 🎉
