Our story

Tuesday… The worst day of the week. It’s not the fresh start of a Monday… it doesn’t have the benefit of Wednesday and being the middle of the week or the benefit of being Thursday (almost Friday)… and it’s definitely not Friday. I was born on a Tuesday. I met the love of my life on a Tuesday. Teneisha works as a recovery room nurse, and at the time she worked four days a week with Tuesdays being one of her off days. She called it “Tuesdays with Teneisha”, and she used her off day as a day for her to adventure, learn, grow and experience new things around Dallas. . On November 17, 2021 she had plans to visit the Holocaust and Human Rights Museum in Dallas, Texas as she frequently enjoyed touring and spending her time away from work in different places around the city. We were introduced to each other a few days prior, and when she shared her plans with me for what she was doing that day, I told her four words that would change my life forever, “I’ll meet you there”. There hasn’t been one day since that Tuesday that goes by that I don’t think about how enamored I was, not only by the unbelievable experience of the museum but by the unbelievable experience of being with someone I could see myself spending the rest of my life with from the first time we shared a day together. At the conclusion of our first date, I purposely walked her in the wrong direction to the restaurant where we were supposed to eat dinner so that I could spend more time getting to know her. Though she didn’t appreciate the extra steps, I think they were the best steps I’ve ever taken. Our relationship blossomed from that moment with romance, family, travel, and faith. Family has been the root of our relationship since the beginning and we’re so grateful to our families for being supportive of us, guiding us, praying for us and showing us what it means to have a faithful and Christ centered relationship. I used to hate Tuesdays, now Tuesday is my favorite day of the week, because it’s the day I met the love of my life.
