We're putting this on by ourselves and we have a VISION! * Imagine an elevated Halloween Wedding. * Fantastical vibes, golden candelabra's, rich colors. Whimsical dark romantic creature/goth vibes. Silks and faux furs. Colors are black, dark reds, dark purples, dark greens and golds. Imagine a beautifully lit dance floor, a cider bar and spooky theme'd foods. Reminiscent of Halloween's past, but way cooler. Consider a creature mask or some romantic goth makeup. Go thrift some black dress pants and a sick vest or a velvet dress. Have a meeting with the tiny imp inside you that has been peaking its spooky little self out. Have fun with it! Get those RSVP's in if you're all down to help us create the most magical, beautifully spooky Halloween event and dance the night away.. bring a dish, a beverage of choice, and your bad selves. NO PHYSICAL GIFTS PLEASE. Your gift is food, matching our energy, dressing up and having a blast with us! COME GET YOUR FREAK ON AND YOUR BOOTIES ON THE DANCE FLOOR. We've been together for almost fourteen years now, engaged for five! Where's all the time gone!? Y'all know that our relationship has been full of surprises, laughter, and unique challenges. In the beginning we bonded over music, enjoyed late night car rides, weekend trips, festivals, and hosted SO MANY parties! We've made it through some tough times, pet loss, a global pandemic, home ownership, and so many surgeries. Most recently, the universe thought it'd be a funny joke to test how we'd navigate James almost succumbing to dysentery, despite us never setting foot on the Oregon Trail.. There's certainly been some wild happenstances and heaviness lately! While we've done our best to move through it with grace and humor, we've been longing for a time we can just celebrate our relationship, and have a fresh start. Soooooo we're doing exactly that! In the midst of Liz's many surgeries, James received notice of a job opening at his offices headquarters in Belgium! This past June we took a leap of faith and booked our first trip abroad together to explore Ghent as an option for an exciting new beginning. We walked the cobblestone streets, learned all about the city while enjoying a canal tour, explored abandoned ruins, and devoured many incredible meals. We laughed our way through a comedic tour of the Castle of the Counts, befriended a street cat, and danced the night away at a beautiful art space venue. We visited museums and the city park, found some gems at vintage shops, and had a wonderful meeting with James' Belgian coworkers. We ended the trip with a fantastic meal and walked the canals while chatting about which neighborhoods we could see ourselves living in. We've learned that when opportunity calls, you take it. So we're getting this show on the road! There will be laughs, there will be tears, but most importantly, there will be dancing and we can't wait to celebrate with you before we're onto new adventures! Lots of love, Liz & James
