The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/garden party attire. Please bring a jacket or layers as the barn doors of the reception hall will remain open all evening.
Solid, sturdy shoes. Sandals, chunky heels, or wedges. We don’t want any broken or rolled ankles. Majority of the ground will be uneven and rocky, with the exception of the reception hall.
The weather should be fairly mild, low 70s. It may be cooler in the mountains at the ceremony spot and once the sun sets in the evening. Please bring a jacket or layers for the evening. The barn doors of the reception hall must remain open during the entirety of the event.
There is not any prearranged transportation from hotels in the area. Parking will be free at the venue for all wedding guests. Please try and carpool as much as possible as parking is limited.
All events will be taking place on the Roaring Camp property.
The ceremony will be outside under the cover of redwood trees. Cocktail hour will be right outside of the reception hall. Dinner and dancing will be inside the reception hall.
Please aim to be at the venue at 2:30 pm. The train for the ceremony leaves promptly at 3:15 pm, no exceptions. If you miss the train you will have to wait around outside of the reception hall until the train arrives back from the ceremony at 5:15pm. Please account for bad traffic on Highway 17 as it will be summer and the Santa Cruz area is a popular place this time of year.
Babies under the age of 2 and teens are welcome. While we love all your little ones, we are hoping you take this as a chance to have an evening of relaxation and adult fun. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time in order to celebrate with us. We completely understand if you cannot make the wedding.
Please RSVP by May 1st by mailing us back the RSVP card. Don’t forget to write in a song request!
Unfortunately, our venue’s catering does not accommodate for dietary restrictions. However, there will be dishes that are naturally vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/dairy free. The catering company does not operate in a certified gluten free kitchen and cannot guarantee that dishes are completely gluten free.
We are registered here on Zola through our wedding website. While we have a few physical items that we would like, we have decided that what we would most appreciate is the experience of a Hawaiian honeymoon. You will see that we have different experiences related to our honeymoon that you can gift us.
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
The venue strongly encourages that guests are vaccinated and or have a negative COVID test 72hrs before the event but they will not be checking vaccination cards or asking for proof of negative tests. Currently, they are only requiring face coverings while riding on the train to and from the ceremony spot and while waiting in the buffet line for dinner.
