Kalli, on the other hand, was born and raised in Louisiana. Talented, driven, and endlessly captivating, she had the courage to leave everything familiar behind and chase a new adventure in New York City. Her hard work earned her a place at Columbia University, where she stepped into a world far from home, guided by curiosity and grit! Thibault first saw Kalli at a football game. She was the captain of the cheerleading team; radiant, confident, impossible to miss. He was instantly under her spell, though far too shy to say a word, convinced she was looking at him, when she was, in truth, dazzling the entire crowd. He did what any shy romantic would do, he talked about her endlessly to all his friends. Fate and the grace of God stepped in when he discovered they shared a mutual friend, who finally brought them together at the legendary college bar, Mel’s. Thank you, Matt Brown. From there, their connection deepened, especially during the quiet, uncertain days of COVID. It was then that Kalli invited Thibault to spend Christmas with her family in Louisiana, the first time she ever brought a boy home. Thibault fell not only for Kalli’s beauty and brilliance, but for her generosity, her humor, and her heart. Surrounded by her family’s warmth and joy, he felt something he hadn’t felt in a very long time: home. Life unfolded beautifully from there. They celebrated milestones big and small like Kalli’s graduation, shared New Yorkers adventures, and Thibault introducing Kalli to his native France. And then, after three years of happiness, magic struck! In the city of love Paris, on Brigitte Bardot's own balcony, surrounded by her family, Thibault asked Kalli to marry him.
