Pirates v. Yankees
Sadly for Justin and I (but luckily for the rest of you, unless you prefer the red sox) the Yankees are in town all wedding weekend! You can catch a game at PNC Park, located just across the river from downtown, on Friday evening at 6:35pm or Sunday afternoon at 1:35pm. We're inclined to say, "Go Bucs!" but we do love us some Bronx Bombers! Plus, the view is the best in the MLB.
Cultural District
Check out the shows happening in the cultural district! Besides being home to Justin and I, we love the art, restaurants, bars, and more to do in this lovely downtown neighborhood :) Shows occur at the Benedum Center and Heinz Hall for the most part, and our favorite food/drink spots include Con Alma (a lovely jazz bar), Takö (Japanese/Mexican fusion) Gi-Jin (SUSHI!), and the Warren! Word on the street is: Steve Martin & Martin Short will be making a tour stop in Pittsburgh this weekend.
Walnut Street Shops
The best outdoor shopping in the city is on Walnut Street in the Shadyside neighborhood! There's also some great restaurants on Walnut and in the surrounding area.
University of Pittsburgh
Steph's (2x) alma mater and home to 9x national champions in college football - take a stroll on the lovely Pitt campus! We recommend going to the second tallest educational building in the world, the Cathedral of Learning (better known as "Cathy") and seeing the various nationality rooms located on floors 1 and 3.
The Duquesne Incline
Take the incline up to Pittsburgh's Mt. Washington neighborhood for some breathtaking views of the city! For food/drink, we recommend: Bigham Tavern, Shiloh Gastro Pub, Steel Mill Tavern, or Monterey Bay Fish Grotto.
