We're getting married!

The story of the future Sperrys started many years ago when Jon and Gianna were in 7th grade. It was not an instant love connection, in fact it was quite the opposite. One of their first memories started at Red Robin with a group of friends. When Gianna excused herself to the bathroom, Jon thought it would be funny to season all her french fries with anything and everything he found lying on the table. Gianna was not a fan of Jon. Fast forward to senior year of high school, they found themselves in food's class together. It was then that they developed a close friendship. They remained friends for several years, denying an obvious flirtation they had with each other. February 14, 2022 when neither of them had plans, Jon invited Gianna to hang out. Following Valentines day, they spent many many months hanging out and going on adventures. On November 5th, 2022 Jon asked Gianna if she wanted to "stick around" and be his girlfriend solidifying the start of their relationship. The first 6 months of their relationship was the happiest they'd ever been. Their life was flourishing, they were both starting new careers and could not be more in love. They'd decided marriage was in their future when they decided to get each other's names tattooed on each other while on vacation in Florida. Upon their return from vacation on May 14, 2023 they were struck by a drunk driver while riding home on Jon's motorcycle. They both suffered many injuries but they knew that whatever life challenges they faced, they would do it together. With the one year anniversary of their accident approaching, Gianna decided to surprise Jon with a trip to their favorite place and the last place where life felt normal, St. Petersburg, Fl. When Jon learned of the trip, he quickly realized this would be the perfect place to propose. On their second night of the trip they decided to go take photos at sunset on the beach. Their photos were coming out terribly so they decided to ask a bystander on the beach if they would mind taking a few for them. After Gianna got all the poses she wanted she reached out her hand to get the phone back thanking the woman for her time. This is when Jon intercepted and asked the woman if she would mind taking one more photo. Gianna was quite confused since Jon does not like taking pictures in general. As she turned around, Jon got down on one knee and asked Gianna "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you spend the rest of your life with me?" Gianna was absolutely in shock but quickly said yes! They've chosen a wedding date of great importance to rewrite what that day means to them. They are so excited to start their married life together and share their special day with all their family and friends.
