Steven and Rachel had crossed paths prior, but they first officially met in June of 2019 in Manhattan. Working only 20 feet apart, they soon began sharing the same social settings. Their friendship flourished over the next six months- naturally becoming comfortable with one another, finding much in common, and Steven making Rachel laugh quite often. This was until December 6th, 2019, when Steven first asked Rachel “Would you like to go out with me some time?” to which Rachel replied, “Why haven’t you asked me that before!” To this day, she is still embarrassed and confused by her own response. From that moment on, they were fortunate enough to enjoy a slow burn of falling in love. In the midst of a somber pandemic, they found happiness and light in the little things of cooking together and walks along the Hoboken waterfront. They since moved on to more monumental memories, such as exploring multiple European countries, skiing and snowboarding the mountains out west, dining at countless New York City restaurants, annual Valentine’s Day viewings of “10 Things I Hate About You”, and their beloved dates at the Metropolitan Museum of Art- a date spot that has become more than anniversary tradition, but a spot where they spent their last date before becoming fiancés. On December 21st, 2024, Steven asked Rachel to marry him on that same waterfront they had spent their first days as a couple together, directly across the exact location they met in Manhattan. They celebrated with their family and friends that engagement day and can’t wait to share the love and joy with you all on the big day!
