It’s crazy that two people can cross paths despite being 14 hours/974 miles away and living in two different time zones. It’s even crazier still that after crossing paths with a complete stranger these two people can connect with each other on such a level that the only synonym to do this connection any justice in describing it is the word love. Our relationship started in the most millennial way possible, on twitter. We had no idea that one single tweet would change the entire trajectory of our lives and spin us into the most beautiful adventure. This tweet turned into countless texts which turned into endless FaceTime calls which then turned into numerous 3 hour flights, back and forth and finally on January 11th, 2020 on a trip to Miami, Huey asked me to be their girlfriend. That was 4 years ago, a lot has happened since then including moving in with each other, starting over in a new city and a proposal.

I’d be lying if I said I always knew I’d be walking down the aisle. I didn’t, but as soon as I met Jordyn I just knew; I felt it in every atom of my body, in the deepest crevices of my heart and in every layer of my soul. I, Huey, was going to marry Jordyn. Making the decision to solidify my love and commitment with a beautiful proposal was the easy part, the hard part was the year of planning. I couldn’t have executed this without the help of our closest friends and family who were with me organizing and scheming behind Jordyns back to make sure I gave her the proposal she deserved and one that properly conveyed everything I felt for her. On November 11th, 2022, in our first apartment, surrounded by rose petals and pictures that documented our relationship, I asked her to be my wife. There wasn’t a dry eye in our apartment that night and neither of us could stop smiling from how much love surrounded us. We are so excited to be sharing our wedding day with you and cannot wait to see you in January.
