The wedding venue (both the reception area and chapel) are within the Green Mountain Nature Preserve and Trail. There is ample parking at the entrance to the nature preserve for guests to use. From there, guests will see the reception area first, and will follow the trail to the right towards to arrive at the chapel. The grounds surrounding the reception area are slightly sloped, and the trail is covered in gravel, so please be careful and we recommend not wearing heels. We will have the entire nature trail reserved for the day, so feel free to wander the trail, explore the bridge, and enjoy the sights!
Being springtime, there is always a chance for rain or storms in Alabama. Fingers crossed its sunny and beautiful though! March has an average high temperature of 65 degrees, and an average low of 45 - so it shouldn't be as hot and muggy as the summer months.
The chapel itself is covered, including the seating for the wedding party, however the additional guest seating is exposed to the elements. The reception venue is also covered, but the surrounding area and picnic tables are open to the elements as well. If it rains we will make the most of the day, dance in the rain a bit, and hide in sheltered areas if needed!
