Lauren Cross

Bride

Lauren was raised in Trenton, Tennessee with two siblings and several animals. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, Lauren participated in the county fair by showing hogs, goats, mules, and chickens. She enjoyed spending time on her granddaddy's row crop and beef cattle farm which led to her love for agriculture. Lauren continued her passion for agriculture by double majoring in agronomy and horticulture at Mississippi State University, where she met her future husband.

Tyler Fortenberry

Groom

Tyler was raised in Crawford, Mississippi on a farm with his younger brother Neil. Tyler spent his childhood swimming in catfish ponds on his granddaddy's farm and getting into mischief with his cousins. In high school, Tyler participated in the Starkville High's FFA program. Tyler continued his agriculture education at Mississippi State University where he received his bachelor's in agriculture leadership. He had no idea his life would change when he asked to take Lauren out to eat on Halloween in 2016.

Madalyn Cross

Maid of Honor

Madalyn, is Lauren's youngest sibling and mini blonde twin. Madalyn and Lauren love to make each other laugh and enjoy each other's company. They stay close by pranking, traveling to one another, and bonding over music. Lauren’s favorite memory is when her and Madalyn, on the way to Arkansas, tried to talk like Gru from Despicable Me for two hours.

Neil Fortenberry

Best Man

Neil is Tyler's favorite and only brother. Tyler and Neil enjoyed getting into mischief in their younger days. They were always working on something that they tore up. It wasn't a question that Neil was going to be Tyler's Best Man.

Mary Grace Hayes

Matron of Honor

Mary Grace and Lauren met in third grade when Mary Grace invited Lauren to stay the night. Throughout the years Lauren and Mary Grace have been dug out moms, attended concerts, tailgated, and been in a band together. Lauren and Mary Grace's "thing" is to eat crab legs together to celebrate special milestones in each other's lives.

Clay is Tyler's first cousin. When they were younger they enjoyed playing cops and robbers on the golf cart at their grandmother's. Clay and Tyler enjoy tailgating and eating crawfish together.

Kaylan Goodrich

Kaylan or KK met Lauren in third grade when Lauren told KK she was her cousin; they have been close friends ever since. They spent their highschool/college years by rolling yards, pranking Trenton citizens, and using the elementary's pick up line as a racetrack. Lauren and KK stay close by spending birthdays together, traveling, and laughing with each other.

Joseph Portillo

Joe or Joseph met Tyler in college while working at Kroger. In college, Joe and Tyler enjoyed attending parties, going hunting, and eating all the fruit at Kroger. Tyler and Joe stay close by sending memes and making fun of Chris.

Kayley Tyner

Bridesmaid

These two met at Lauren's first birthday party and have been best buds ever since. When Lauren and Kayley were younger they enjoyed giving concert performances, drinking virgin daiquiris, and calling each other on the house phone. Lauren's favorite memory of Kayley is when they made a homemade music video when they were in elementary school.

Tyler and Chris met while working at Kroger in college. They enjoyed shooting stuff, partying, and fishing together. These two remain close by texting and by sending funny Facebook posts to each other.

Kennedi Morris

Bridesmaid

Kennedi and Lauren grew close in high school when they bonded over FFA. They enjoy spending the night with each other, eating good food, watching old movies, and taking pictures. Lauren and Kennedi remain buddies by traveling to one another, texting, and enjoying each other's company. Kennedi is the only one that understands all Lauren's love for the 80's.

John Paul Cross

John Paul is Lauren's brother and has grown close to Tyler. John Paul enjoys calling Tyler T-Money and spending time with him at the Kentucky lake. Lauren and John Paul grew up playing pranks on their grandparents, jamming to AC/DC, and laughing at Mr. Bean. Lauren's favorite John Paul prank is when John Paul called Gander Mountain and asked them if they had a flame thrower.

Kaitlyn Serwack

Bridesmaid

Kaitlyn and Lauren met their freshman year at Mississippi State. The Tennessean and Floridian hit it off from the start and requested to become roommates. Throughout college, Lauren and Kaitlyn liked to travel down Mississippi back roads, visit hometowns, attend games, and eat late night snacks together. They have remained close after college by sending each other gifts, texting memes, and visiting. The most memorable night of sophomore year was when Kaitlyn and Lauren went to get ice cream from the POD. On their way to get ice cream, a raccoon stood up on it's back legs and chased them all the way to the POD. The two didn't go again for ice cream without their pepper spray.

Narsis and Lauren met sophomore year in Horsemen's Association at Mississippi State. Lauren and Narsis spent their time together by getting in trouble by the Dean of Students, helping at rodeos, going to the bar, and going out to eat. Narsis enjoys traveling, laughing, and partying with Tyler and Lauren.

Lauren met Sable in elementary school where Lauren could not say Sable's name; so she would say Stable. The two grew close in high school when they went on senior trip with each other to PCB. They both enjoy catching up, going out, and visiting each other. Sable will always have Lauren's back no matter what the situation is.

Will and Tyler met in college through a mutual friend. Throughout college, Will, Tyler, and Lauren enjoyed eating, traveling, and staying up late together. The three stay close by texting, visiting, and sending each other funny videos. Will also enjoys spending time with his niece Emma and nephew Angus.

Kacie and Lauren met in Soils class when Lauren asked Kacie if she could sit beside her. In college these two enjoyed studying, eating, watching each other's location, and yelling at referees. They remain close by visiting, going to Memphis basketball games, and sending each other gifts.

Austin will soon be married to one of Tyler’s best friends, Mary Grace Caldwell, from his church youth group. Austin, Tyler and Mary Grace have spent a lot of time together throughout their college years attending football games, eating out and sharing lots of laughter.

Lauren and Hannah met each other through Tyler in 2016. The two enjoy going to Dirt Cheap, drinking margaritas, and bonding together. Lauren and Hannah remain close by texting, visiting, and sending each other gifts.

Tyler’s involvement with the FFA led him to meet many friends, including Shelbie Dalton and Taylor Vaughn. They all had many of the same classes together at MSU, and have become really close friends. There was no question that Tyler wanted Taylor to be a groomsman so that he and Shelbie could be a part of our special day.

Lauren met Shelbie through Tyler, but Shelbie and Lauren actually became friends in Soils class. These two both enjoy couple dates, shopping, and spending time with each other!

Tyler and Seth hit it off from the start. The two both enjoy Dave Ramsey, doing whatever their significance other says, and going on trips with each other. Seth was also there when Tyler proposed to Lauren.

Emma is Lauren and Tyler's sweet baby girl. Emma enjoys looking out the window, visiting her grandmothers, and riding on the boat.

Angus is Tyler and Lauren's wild child. Angus enjoys eating snacks, wearing outfits, and watching Lady and the Tramp.

Lori Ann Williams

Mother of the Bride

Lori Ann and Lauren are very close. They enjoy visiting each other, facetiming, and traveling. When Lauren was little her and her mother took glam shots, went to concerts, and took many trips to the river together. Lauren's favorite memory of Lori Ann was when they went to a Kenny Chesney concert and Lori Ann tried to sneak on his tour bus.

Tyler’s mom shared with him at an early age the joys of traveling and cooking. He went to his first National FFA Convention with her at 6 months old. Tyler’s cooking skills have been influenced a lot by lessons from Gayle, as well as many family favorite recipes shared by all the cooks in the family.

When Lauren was little she enjoyed riding the tractor and horses with her dad. Lauren got her laugh, loud personality, and looks from her dad. Lauren and Jason love to cut up, catch up, tease, and eat mexican food together.

Growing up, Tyler and his dad were always riding four-wheelers or tractors. Tyler's dad taught him how to get his hands dirty and fix things just enough to get them working again. Keith and Tyler always catch up by going out to eat and finding something to work on when they can.

Wade and Lauren enjoy eating candy, drinking daiquiris, and spending time on the lake. They like to catch up by gossiping, picking on each other, and talking about Lori Ann. Wade's world was turned upside down in 2017 when he gained three step kids who love to play pranks on him. Lauren's favorite Wade prank happened when her, her mom, and sister went to New Orleans. Lauren called Wade and said she needed money because her mom went to jail for fighting, Wade started panicking, but quickly figured out it was another prank lol. Poor Wade.

When Tyler was younger he spent his summers at Granna and Steve's house with his cousins. They spent their time going camping, swimming, and playing cops and robbers. Tyler gets his love for traveling, camping, and crab bread from his grandparents.

Lauren's love for Louisiana started when she would visit her grandparents in Monroe, Louisiana. She enjoyed canoeing, hiking, and shopping with her Granny Jill. Her Grandpa Rob loved to make Lauren laugh and still does. To this day, Lauren and her sister enjoying spending time with them in Jasper, Arkansas.

Nana, the life of the party, was a fun and loving grandmother growing up. She taught Tyler how to cook and satisfy their sweet tooth. Nana also makes the best sweet tea in Tyler’s opinion.

Growing up Lauren enjoyed going to her Nana’s. She loved for her Nana to make her ChocChoc and scratch her back. The two enjoyed playing games, that Lauren made the rules to, and watching hours of Barney. Lauren would constantly want her Nana to play, “She thinks my tractor’s sexy” , which is why her Nana ended up taking her to a Kenny Chesney concert. The two both love catching up and laughing together.

Grandfather of the Bride

Lauren and her granddaddy, Mikey, have always been best buds. In her childhood, Lauren enjoyed playing hide and seek, having fashion shows, going to the river, riding the tractor, feeding cows, and putting makeup on her granddaddy. Her favorite memory is when her granddaddy just walked into the elementary school, without checking in, found Lauren's classroom, and just started dancing in front of the door.

Penni and Jimmy lived a normal, quiet, and peaceful life on Broadfield until the Cross siblings came into their lives. The two enjoy spending time with their grandchildren like: going to the lake, grilling, and hanging by the pool.
