Great question! We ideally would like RSVPs in by Wednesday, April 17th. This would really help us gage how many guests we can expect so that we are able to have a number in mind for food, drinks, table set-up, etc. Don't worry if you forget, we will keep pestering you until we have an answer :)
Please book your hotel room before May 1st! At that time, the rooms will be released to the public, which means that you are not guaranteed the discounted rate that we obtained for you. If all the rooms in the block are booked, we will get a complimentary whirlpool suite. That's a great bonus! Click on the "Travel" tab for more info.
Absolutely not! However, we have chosen to have a full Wedding Mass, which usually runs about as long as any Sunday church service. I know that not everyone shares our faith, but please understand that this is the most important part of our day. Entering into the sacred Sacrament of Matrimony is something we've been looking forward to for a long time, and we're so glad you'll be there to witness it!
Cathedral of St. Joseph holds Mass daily, and Saturday night is no different than any other week night. The early ceremony will ensure adequate time for staff to get the Cathedral ready for Mass that evening. There is about a two-hour gap between the end of ceremony and cocktail hour at the reception venue, use this time to nap up for the night or explore some of our favorite places in downtown Sioux Falls!
Since we are getting married at the beautiful Cathedral of St. Joseph, we wouldn't want you to feel underdressed in jeans and flip-flops. Let's stick to formal attire or your Sunday best!
Yes! There will not be a shuttle to take guests out to the reception venue, but there will be a shuttle starting from 9 pm to take you back to the meeting point, which is at the hotel. The shuttle will be running every 30 minutes until the end of the night. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, this should help make your Lyft receipt a little cheaper!
We'd love to see everyone, old and young alike!
There will not be a seating chart. However, please be mindful that the venue has two stories, and if you are able to go up and down the stairs easily, please do so!
