The Wright Wedding

Once upon a time, on a sunny Friday afternoon almost four years ago, Maddie was headed to the beach for her lunch break, trying to hold on to her summer glow. She hopped out of her car in a red bikini and skipped down the stairs at Avenue C beach in Redondo Beach, California. As she strutted across the street, she caught the eye of a handsome man who was sitting in his truck, watching the line up looking for some waves… And boy did he see the wave of a lifetime! He quickly grabbed his board and chased that perfect wave. As he breezed past Maddie on his way down to the water, he in turn caught her attention. A tall, handsome guy with a surfboard… She couldn't help but admire his confidence as he paddled out into the ocean, ready to catch some waves. She knew it was going to be a good day! As he was about to leave, Ian couldn’t resist, he walked right up to Maddie and introduced himself. He struck up a conversation, asking her about her day and what brought her to the beach. Maddie was a bit taken aback by his sudden approach, but she found herself drawn to his friendly demeanor and easy charm. They talked for a few minutes before Ian had to leave, but before he did, he asked if he could see her again. Two days later, they met up at the Hermosa Pier and walked along the Strand, and the modern-day love story began. They talked for hours, discovering their shared interests in the beach, sports and love of design. Maddie was fascinated by Ian's passionate spirit, while Ian was captivated by Maddie's intelligence and wit. Over the next few weeks, they went on many more dates, exploring the Southbay and discovering new places together. As they got to know each other better, they realized they had found something incredibly special and rare, something they had been searching for all their lives. And so, nearly four years later, Maddie and Ian still return to that same beach where it all began. They walk hand in hand along the shoreline with their two dogs, Cali and Monte, reminiscing about that fateful day when they first met, grateful for the chance encounter that brought them together and the love that has grown ever since. When it came to planning their wedding, they felt it was only right that they keep the good luck going and say "I DO” together in the sand. Maddie and Ian are thrilled to be able to bring both their families together on the East Coast to mark this exciting new life chapter.
