Our adventure started 7 years ago during our sophomore year at Florida Gulf Coast University. After a lot of convincing, I got Korie to go on a date with me. We knew right from the beginning we had something special. Especially when I found out we shared the same love for pizza. From that day on, we did everything together. We will always cherish the great memories we had in college whether it was beach trips, vacations, studying in the library, or spending time with our friends. We certainly experienced life together through the high and lows but we always had one another. There has never been a dull moment as our lives have been filled with happiness, excitement, love and a lot of me learning that Korie is always right. Throughout the years, we have grown to understand that we are and always will be a team. I understand that Korie likes to look pretty and have nice things and I have learned this allows me time to watch football on the weekends. I finally worked up the courage to propose to Korie on Hutchinson Island. I knew by scheduling a trip on such short notice would set off alarm bells. I did everything I could to keep my composure and keep it a surprise. After Korie spent two full hours getting ready for dinner I asked if we could take a walk on the beach. I was hoping that the perfect weather and the crashing of the waves would distract her from the gigantic ring box I had hidden in my pocket. Keeping it a surprise, I was able to get on one knee and share with her that she is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. After 7 years, I am truly blessed to be marrying my best friend. We are excited for the next chapter in our lives and the journey God has planned for us. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate our special day than with all of you!
