FAQs

Question

What’s the nearest airport?

Answer

The closest airport is Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), about a 35–40 minutes drive to Amelia Island. Another option is Orlando International Airport (MCO), a much larger airport with more flights, but about a 3–hour drive away.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are many hotel and Airbnb options on Amelia Island and in Fernandina Beach. For your convenience, we have discounted rates available at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island (beside the venue) and Residence Inn, Amelia Island (8–10 minutes away). Please reach out to Uzzaiah (bride) or Spencer (groom) directly if you’re interested in booking with these discounts. If you’d like more budget-friendly options or are staying outside the immediate area, Jacksonville is the closest city and offers plenty of hotels and Airbnb choices.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see all of our friends and family dressed up for our big day! Our celebration is semi-formal. Ladies, we suggest cocktail dresses, dressy skirts, or elegant jumpsuits. Gentlemen, dress pants with a collared shirt, blazer, or suit. Please, no jeans or sweatpants, and we kindly ask that you avoid wearing white or blue, as our wedding party and immediate family will be in blue. We also ask that you follow the color palette included in your invitation. Your thoughtful touch will make our day feel even more special and beautifully coordinated.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that guests be limited to those listed on the invitation. If you received a plus one, their name will appear on your invitation envelope or under your name when you RSVP through our website. We truly appreciate your understanding!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but due to limited space we are only able to accommodate children who are specifically named on the invitation. Invitations will clearly indicate if your children are included. Otherwise, we encourage you to enjoy this evening as a special night out, a chance to relax, let your hair down, and celebrate with us on our big day!

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding truly means the world to us! You can find all of our registry details right here on Zola. While any gift is deeply appreciated, we kindly prefer cash or gift cards, which will help us make our honeymoon unforgettable and support our future home projects.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask that everyone RSVP by December 18, 2025. You can RSVP directly on our website or by scanning the QR code included on your invitation. If we haven’t received your response by this date, we will unfortunately have to mark you down as “not attending.” While we truly hope to celebrate with you, we must provide an exact guest count to our vendors.

Question

What if I can’t make it?

Answer

While we’ll miss celebrating with you, we completely understand! If you’re unable to attend, please let us know by selecting “will not attend” on our website or by using the QR code on your invitation. This helps us finalize our guest count and ensures everything runs smoothly. We’ll be thinking of you on our special day and sending you lots of love!

Question

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our wedding will be a combination of outdoor and indoor events. The ceremony will take place on the beautiful golf course, dinner will be held in the banquet room, and our celebration will continue outside. Please dress appropriately and consider bringing a jacket, as it may be a bit chilly during the outdoor portions of the day.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Our venue offers free self-parking in the garage shared with the Ritz-Carlton. The gate arm will be open for guests attending the wedding. If anyone asks, simply let them know you are attending the wedding at the golf course. For those who prefer valet parking, a valet from the Ritz-Carlton will be available to assist you.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests arrive by 3:30 PM so everyone can be seated and ready by 3:45 PM, as our ceremony begins promptly at 4:00 PM. Arriving on time ensures the ceremony starts smoothly and allows everyone to fully enjoy the celebration.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony and kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away. We want everyone to be fully present in the moment, and our professional photographer will be capturing all the special memories for us. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like. We sincerely appreciate your understanding!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you. Please note that there is a cut-off amount for the open bar. After that point, the bar will remain open, but any additional charges will no longer be covered by the bride and groom.

Question

Who can I reach out to if I have questions?

Answer

Please don’t hesitate to contact the bride and groom, Uzzaiah or Spencer, directly. We’re happy to help with travel, accommodations, or any other wedding-related questions!
