Justin and Alyssa first met in 2017 at West Orange High School. He noticed her at a high school football game hanging out with some friends of his. After the game he texted one of his friends that Alyssa was with to find out who the "cute girl in the white hat" was. They started off as just friends, hanging out in the same circles and getting to know each other little by little. Everything changed on April 21st, 2018. Justin asked Alyssa to come hang out with his sister Jenna and a few friends to help with a photography project for class. After the photos were done, no one really wanted the night to end—especially Justin. So, he threw out the idea of going mini golfing… across town on the other side of Orlando. Alyssa was hesitant at first. Her 2001 Chevy Cavalier wasn’t exactly built for confidence, especially not for a drive through Downtown Orlando on the 408. But with some not-so-subtle encouragement from Justin’s friends, he made a pretty smooth move—offering to drive her in her car, just to make sure she got there and back home safely. (And maybe because he wanted a little alone time with her) During the drive, they talked non-stop, shared their favorite songs, and laughed like they’d known each other forever. One of the songs they played—Falling in Love by Dennis Kruissen & Drew Love—ended up becoming their song. By the end of the night, as Justin pulled into Alyssa’s neighborhood to drop her off, he worked up the nerve and asked her to make it official. Over 7 year's later Justin and Alyssa are living the life they spent many late nights dreaming of as teenagers. They live in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg, Florida with their two adorable cats, Mango and Tiki. And thankfully, the crappy 2001 Chevy Cavalier has been replaced by a (not newer, but nicer) 2001 Jeep Wrangler, and Alyssa is still riding shotgun, right next to Justin, like she always has. Through all the chapters of life, they’ve remained best friends, adventure buddies, and each other’s biggest supporters. Now, they can’t wait to start the next one—getting married and celebrating with the people who have been part of their story all along.
