Our Story
Ryan and Flannery started their journey together in February of 2013, their freshman year of high school, after having met in eighth grade at a Model UN conference. On their "first date", they were supposed to go ice skating with a group of friends, but all bailed except for Ryan and Flannery (who now think they bailed on purpose). After a long walk back to their friend's house in the snow, the rest is history: they dated through high school, and both attended college at Ohio University, where they graduated in 2020.
In May of 2024, Ryan surprised Flannery with a proposal under the Canterbury Park gazebo in Cleveland Heights, the place where they said "I love you" for the first time 11 years prior.
Flannery and Ryan cannot wait to celebrate with their families and friends in June!
