Our Story
Hong Kong
In October 2018, Joseph embarked on his first-ever trip to Asia. That’s when we met (Hannah and her friends were there too!) and explored the city together, making unforgettable memories—including a magical visit to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Bangkok
We went to Bangkok together in June 2019, right before Joseph graduated from Northwestern. Bangkok was really hot but we still had a great time with some of Hannah’s friends.
Tokyo
Around Halloween 2019, Joseph went back to Asia to visit Hannah in Tokyo. Of all the destinations in Asia, Tokyo was his favorite. We ate delicious food and did a lot of shopping together. And of course we explored Tokyo DisneySea, where Joseph watched Game 7 of the World Series.
Southern California
After the COVID pandemic kept us apart for over a year, we finally reunited in Southern California in the summer of 2021 (initially for Hannah's friend's wedding). This was when we truly got to know each other. We celebrated Thanksgiving together at Hannah’s friend’s house and made unforgettable trips before she flew back to the Philippines.
Las Vegas
In July 2022, Hannah got a job in Las Vegas! Not long after, Joseph moved out to live there and be with her. Since then, we have taken many trips together and had tons of fun. Living and traveling together has been an awesome experience for us, and we’ve enjoyed it so much that we decided to do it forever!
Philippines
In June 2024, Joseph went to visit Hannah’s family and met some of her friends for the first time in the Philippines. We stayed together in BGC and made trips to Quezon City and Batangas. Joseph had a great time, even though he was much taller than everyone.
Yellowstone National Park
On Oct. 25, 2024, Joseph proposed in Yellowstone National Park, overlooking Yellowstone Canyon. It was perfect, and Hannah had no idea it was coming (but she did pick out her perfect ring months earlier).
