We met through a group project in English class during our sophomore year of high school. On June 2, we really clicked and talked to each other non stop before going to our first date on June 9, 2018. The next day we were officially dating.

On Friday, September 9, 2022 we went for a hike at Cooper's Rock. After trying to decide what trail to go on (and getting lost on our way to another) we decided to go to the Eagle Trail. A little ways into our hike, we saw this huge rock and decided to climb up. After taking in the scenery and enjoying the peace and quiet, Hunter got down on one knee and proposed.
