Anthony and Kelly met at Sheridan Hills Baptist Church. Kelly recently began her journey with the Lord and Anthony was fairly young in his faith himself. Kelly approached Anthony calling him "Mejor Amigo" (Best friend) even though she barely knew him. It was almost as if she knew of the relationship that was about to start between them. The first year of their friendship consisted of support in each other's faith. Kelly would regularly ask Anthony questions about God and ways that she could grow and share her faith. Anthony was reluctant at first, but after seeing the qualities that Kelly had as a woman who deeply loved God and people, he made the first step in asking Kelly if she would be his girlfriend. They were young and definitely naive in the beginning, but through faithfulness to God and trusting in Him, they were able to find a mature love that always gave honor and praise to the Lord.

Kelly was constantly looking for cues and signs of the upcoming proposal, so Anthony had to keep her on her toes. He was continuously rejecting the idea of an upcoming proposal. He partnered with his friends Gustavo, Stephen, Dhylan, and Gianella to trick Kelly into thinking they were shooting a music video. Kelly was not convinced at first, but after two days of shooting, she lowered her guard. On the third day... they lured Kelly to their church where Anthony had Kelly's family and friends waiting. She opened a door to the sound of "Dearly Beloved" playing on the piano. Pink lights, hearts, rose petals and their photos covered the stairwell and room. Kelly was shocked and excited and was almost unable to go up the stairs. She gathered her courage and started walking up. As she entered the room, Lights turned on, and there was Anthony standing in the middle of rose pedals formed into a heart. Behind him stood her family smiling and awaiting for what was just seconds away. As she walked into the heart, Anthony spoke of the amazing woman that she was and how he was so proud of her. Kelly, so thrilled, almost cut him off to say YES immediately. He got down on one knee and uttered those magical words... Will you Marry me? the rest was celebration of the unity to come under the Lord Jesus Christ!
