Question

Is it safe to travel to Mexico right now?

Answer

We want to acknowledge the recent unrest in parts of Mexico and share what we’ve learned while planning our wedding celebration. From our research, the majority of the current disturbances have been concentrated in western regions of the country. Popular resort destinations along the Caribbean coast — including Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, and the Riviera Maya — continue to operate as usual, with active tourism and enhanced security measures in place. As with travel to any international destination, we encourage everyone to stay informed, exercise good judgment, and remain aware of your surroundings. Your safety and comfort are incredibly important to us, and we will continue to monitor updates as October approaches.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

You can absolutely bring your children- we picked the RIU Yucatan because it is kid-friendly! Please let Pax know when you RSVP if your kids will be joining. Or if you'd like a child-free vacation, that's totally fine too!

Question

Should you drink the water in Mexico?

Answer

Please do not drink any water that does not come in a bottle, from the buffet, or the bar! The resort keeps your mini fridge stocked, so don't worry about getting dehydrated. Please use this water for everything. This includes brushing your teeth and shower water!
