Question

Where and when are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Appalachia Hills. The venue is located at 917 Webster Corner Rd. Callaway, VA 24067. The ceremony will be starting at promptly 3PM; please arrive approximately 15-30 minutes early. Social hour will directly follow the ceremony and will flow directly into the reception.

Question

When should we expect to receive our official invitation? And when do we need to RSVP by?

Answer

Official wedding invitations will be sent out by Monday, August 8th, 2022. All RSVPs are to be received by the couple no later than Thursday, September 8th, 2022. Please RSVP no if you will be unable to attend; you will be missed! Any RSVPs not received by the due date will be automatically defaulted to a “no”. This is to allow the couple adequate time to finalize the guest list and plan accordingly.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony. We ask that during the ceremony, all phones be put away and either off, or on silent. This is so the photographer/videographer does not have to worry about phones while taking their photos/videos. However, during the reception, photos are requested! We will even have multiple polaroid cameras sitting around so you can help us catch as many memories as possible! As far as posting, please allow the bride and groom to have the opportunity to post about the event first. When posting, please include our hashtag #TheWhitesEst2022 so we can keep up with all the photos!

Will the ceremony/reception be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside and the reception will be located inside of the barn on the property. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside the barn.

Can I bring a date/plus-one?

Answer

The dates/plus-one's we are able to accommodate will be addressed on your official invitation. We have a strict guest list in order to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only; therefore, all dates/“plus-ones” must be approved by either the bride or groom.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love and adore all of the children in our lives, we are only able to invite a few close family members’ children. The children we are able to accommodate will be addressed on your official invitation. We hope you understand our decision and take the opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the night off! For any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the bride directly.

Where are you registered? Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but if you wish to bring a gift, Alyssa & Dustin agree that a contribution to our wishing well would be best. The couple is also registered on Amazon. There will be a gift area for your convenience. Thank you in advance for everything!

What will you be serving for the reception dinner?

Answer

We will be having a buffet-style meal, courtesy of Mission BBQ. Buffet Options: Meat - Pulled Pork, Sliced Brisket, Jalapeño Cheese Sausage, Classic Sausage; Sides - Macaroni and Cheese, Cheesy Potatoes, Green Beans with Bacon; Bread - Cornbread, Slider Rolls. Various Hand-Crafted BBQ Sauces will be provided as well.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We are having a dry wedding, no alcohol will be provided or permitted during the event.

Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?

Answer
