madeline and i first connected online back in september 2022. nothing dramatic, just two people crossing paths and not yet knowing why. then in january 2025, she dms me out of nowhere saying she liked my new song. that message changed something. we decided to get coffee, and what we figured would be a quick hang turned into four hours at oddly correct. we talked about everything: our stories, what we cared about, where we were headed. it just felt easy in a way that’s hard to put into words. the more time we spent together, the less it felt like we were starting something new and more like we were finding our way back to each other. she made me feel understood, seen, and genuinely excited about the future in a way i hadn’t before. at some point in those early weeks, it clicked for both of us. this wasn’t just a connection. it felt like home. and now, looking at everything ahead of us, i just feel really lucky. lucky that she liked that song, lucky that we got coffee, lucky that she’s mine.
