As many of you know, things did not go as planned for our original wedding date. Days before, Covid-19 took over the world and led us to canceling the celebration. 3.21.20 was still our wedding day though, in a small ceremony in the living room of our new home we said "I Do". Our honeymoon lasted three months during quarantine and we were able to spend more time together than ever expected.
Amber was furiously complaining about the kitchen cabinets when she turned around to find Andy on one knee in the middle of the kitchen. Andy had ordered a pizza ring months ago and started planting the seed that he would propose with that instead of a diamond. When Amber saw the pizza ring and immediately started crying, she accepted it happily, noting "Oh, it's perfect!" Her reaction was unexpected and left Andy to change tactics. He pulled out the real ring and tried to get out the words he had prepared, but didn't get much further than, "I love you, I want to spend every day with you, will you Marry me?"
It all Hinge-d on the first date. They met at Gomez, he showed up in a walking boot. An hour later she was rushed out the door by Andy akwardly cutting it short. He knew he wanted to see her again (she wanted to see him again too, even if it meant sharing her queso). A couple dates later, Amber was off to Italy for two weeks. They messaged each other frequently, adapting to the eight hour time difference. When she got home, he met her with flowers and the rest was history.
