The Ceremony

Seattle, WA

We had such a lovely time with family and friends during this intimate celebration. Saturday held the pre-ceremony shenanigans, where we challeged our guests to a scavenger hunt around Seattle. Many of them wowed us- Alena catching a fish behind the market counter, Michelle sneaking into the Seattle Aquarium, and Alex and Max and a few other lucky ones hopping on boats along the waterfront! Sunday was our beautiful ceremony at Golden Gardens Beach Park, just north of Seattle. We had the honor of having Hannah and Harrison Swanson, the dynamite duo, officiate our wedding. They are shrimp-ly the best! The best part of the day, outside of getting married of course, was Frank's electric performance of You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC. #1 Air guitarist of all time! We ended the night with karaoke, and the golden mic award 100% goes to Trudy for her amazing singing! Monday, many of us took a trip to the Ballard Locks to watch the salmon migration. It was exciting seeing all the marine life, but no one was more excited than Anna, who gave a formal salmon presentation to anyone who would listen. This would have likely been Ian's 10th time hearing this (what an amazing husband <3)! We made so many wonderful memories together this weekend, playing euchre, singing *beautifully*, and catching up with one another. We are so grateful for everyone who came, and cannot wait to continue the party with all of our loved ones on stops to come! Love, Anna & Ian

The East Coast Affair

Charleston, SC

What am amazing weekend to remember! A huge thank you to Alena and Rich for housing us and all of our amazing friends who helped make this such a memorable time. The journey began in a location Anna would NEVER be found dead in... an aquarium ;) where the girls who were first to arrive wandered around, enjoying wine tasting and a healthy dose of fish facts from Anna. The next day, we jumped straight into action with a lovely walking tour around Charelston, learning all about the history (and Lauren's favorite photography spots). This tour would come in handy just a few hours later for our a bingo scavenger hunt around town! Who knew Charleston had so many pineapples? Later that night, we were spoiled by our waiter who gifted us with champagne and endless treats from the menu. We were all INCREDIBLY stuffed, but the evening was just beginning! We toured around town again, singing our hearts out to each DJ, and solidifying Green Tea shots as the drink of the night. The next day, we enjoyed a relaxing day at the Joyce's house, recharging for our last epic night together: a presentation night. Everyone presented a Powerpoint on their adult job, and we all took turns listening, learning and laughing. We are so grateful to have such wonderful friends, and we cannot wait for more memories to come! Love, Anna & Ian
