Historic Charleston City Market
One of the nation's oldest public markets and the cultural heart of Charleston. Home to more than 300 vibrant entrepreneurs. There is something to see, do, taste, and take home as a souvenir from the Charleston City Market!
South Carolina Aquarium
The South Carolina Aquarium is located on the historic Charleston Harbor. It is home to more than ten thousand plants and animals.

Carriage Tours
Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the “Holy City”. Narrated one-hour tour offers a nice overview of Charleston, its history and architecture while you see incredible homes and gardens. Palmetto Carriage Works recommended. Suggest booking in advance to minimize waiting time.
Fort Sumter
Visit Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. Boats depart from Mt. Pleasant, Patriot’s Point and Downtown Charleston at Liberty Square. Total time: 2 hour, 15 minutes.
Patriots Point
Tour the USS Yorktown, a WWII aircraft carrier at Patriot’s Point. Admission includes the USS Laffey destroyer, the USS Clamagore submarine & numerous significant aircrafts.
Charleston Water Taxi
Travel between Mount Pleasant and historic downtown Charleston aboard a Water Taxi. The Charleston Water Taxi makes hourly trips to Patriots Point, Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, downtown Charleston and Aquarium Wharf. We sometimes get on just for a boat ride!
Shem Creek
Shem Creek flows through the heart of Mount Pleasant and is known for its many waterfront bars and restaurants. It also offers a variety of leisure activities including fishing, boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding. We love to go kayaking here!
Angel Oak Tree
The Angel Oak Tree is thought to be one of the oldest living things in the country. It is estimated to be in excess of 400-500 years old.
Explore the Beaches
There are so many great beaches to explore while in Charleston. We would recommend Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, & Sullivan's Island.
