We first met back in 2016, and the spark was undeniable from the start. But with both of us fully immersed in chasing our dream careers—Emily as a nurse and Jake as a professional baseball player—timing just wasn’t on our side. (Spoiler: it paid off—go us!) Nearly a decade later, fate stepped in. Emily’s career brought her full circle, right back to where she was always meant to be. A close friend and coworker happened to move in next door to Terry and Cat Webb—bringing our paths back together in the most unexpected and perfect way. Older, wiser, and with a little more life behind us, we picked up where we left off. And this time, it didn’t take long to realize that the connection we once felt had only grown stronger.
