As a self proclaimed aesthete, Kaula is always looking for a nice museum or gallery to explore. With Ta'Wane's knowledge of the DMV, he knew just how to impress. This is where the two had the first opportunity to stand face to face. Naturally, this public (and free) art center is where the couple will share their vows in front of their loved ones on the big day.
Asian food easily makes Ta'Wane's list of top two favorite foods. After getting our fill of art we strolled over to this quaint restaurant on the popular King street and we talked, laughed and ate very comfortably. The service is quick and the food is amazing. There are also options for every diet. We've been several times during our visits to Alexandria.
Their date wrapped up at a bench overlooking the water. They conversed about past experiences and what their future might hold. The ducks were pretty chatty too, often interrupting Kaula when she attempted to speak. According to Ta'Wane they were warning him to get out while he still could, but I'll leave that story for him to tell. It's safe to say, this date was the first of many. And Kaula and Ta'Wane still love a day trip to Alexandria when time permits. And they're happy to get to share even a small piece with you.
