Joe and Emily met Lexi through Care.com circa fall of 2021 when looking for a babysitter to help out while reacclimating to their hometown, opening a law firm, and raising two small children. Four years later Lexi works at Wambach Disability Law full time. Needless to say, the Wambachs turned out to be an integral part of the Future Wargel’s lives. Lexi and Preston love joining the Wambach's at their monthly family dinners and are privileged to call these random internet strangers some of their closest family and friends. Joe Fun Fact: Lexi has roped Joe into regular "Besties Lunches" at work. Not only is she responsible for teaching Joe cool, hip, slang, but she also benefits from free lunches -- perfect trade! P.S. If you need a talking point with Joe, it's IU sports. Emily Fun Fact: Emily is a creative spirit, amazing artist, and passionate activist! Emily has organized several local events in Evansville on a variety of social justice issues encouraging others to get active in their community. Lexi loves hanging out at the Wambach's and finding Emily's drawings around the house -- they make her smile every time!
Ruth Wambach
Flower Girl
Lexi starting babysitting Ruth when she was just 3 years old. Ruth was very independent at first, more than content to play Barbies and sing in her room for the first week or two of babysitting, but it didn't take long for Ruth to open up. Lexi's favorite thing about Ruth is her boisterous spirit and confidence! Ruth loves to rough house with Preston, just like Johnny, but her second favorite activity is getting him to read her a bed time story! Fun Fact: Ruth absolutely loves to sing and play pretend -- she is so creative and can make up the most fun and unique games!
Johnny Wambach
Ring Bearer
Lexi started babysitting Johnny when he was just 1 year old. Despite a few months of tears and fears when left alone with Lexi in the mornings, the two soon become best buds! (It certainly helps that Lexi knows a thing or two about making forts). Johnny also loves rough-housing and playing Suika Game with Preston anytime he can! Fun Fact: Johnny knows ALL about vehicles -- especially construction equipment! He loves to play with his trucks and can name just about any piece of equipment you can find on a construction site...and he's not afraid to correct you.
Elizabeth Bowers
Co-Maid of Honor
Elizabeth and Lexi met from having mutuals on social media and connecting over social justice issues. They realized they lived just a couple blocks from each other and spent tons of time yapping, having wine nights, going on walks, and having double-date game nights! Fun Fact: Elizabeth stood Lexi up on their first hang out because she didn't wake up from a nap -- tsk tsk!
Jasmine Litton

Jasmine and Lexi met part way through 6th grade year at Monrovia Middle School. On Jasmine’s first day at Monrovia, Carlie encouraged Lexi to tell a joke to the the new girl in 7th period art class before school ended. Although the joke was completely dumb—Jasmine decided Lexi was not a total weirdo and the two have been the best of friends ever since! Fun Fact: Jasmine is SUCH an impressive artist, particularly with her crafting and fashion. Plus, she is pursuing her Master's to be a therapist!
Audrey Sears
Bridesmaid
Lexi and Audrey met in Mrs. Weiss's 4th grade class at Monrovia Elementary when they were placed in the same reading group. They went on to play volleyball together for 7 years, spent countless weekends having sleepovers, and summer after summer at the lake before attending USI together for college! Fun Fact: Audrey is an avid reader and TV enthusiast and always has the BEST recommendations for both!
Carlie Syczylo

Carlie and Lexi met in Mrs. Keefer's 3rd grade class at Monrovia Elementary. This was Lexi's first year at a new school. Carlie remembers seeing Lexi crying and thinking "me and this girl are going to be best friends." And thus -- a lifelong friendship was born! Lexi and Carlie went to USI together for college. After Carlie's graduation, they traveled across the world to Spain (spoiler: it was one of the best vacations ever). Fun Fact: Carlie is an avid chef and is actively jump starting her business with her partner: CornpuddInc.!
Maddi Kennedy

Maddi and Lexi met through a local support group for young women dating men named Preston. Just Kidding. They met through none other than the groom himself! Maddi and Preston W. went to high school together and become very good friends after she started dating one of his best friends: Preston S. After bride and groom began dating, Lexi and Maddi hit it off almost instantly (after one long night of freehand Harrisburg mapping that went way over Lexi's head. But since then -- super tight). Fun Fact: Maddi is a WIZARD with crochet and makes so many beautiful crafts! Lexi's favorite winter accessory is a balaclava that Maddi crocheted just for her!
