How did you meet? Brother Hobbies & interests: Football, SDSU, Golf, his adorable kids- Charlie (4) & Lily (1) Favorite memories: playing fifa, visiting me in college, trips growing up Cory is my hero. He’s the person I look up to in my life to set the bar and strive to be like. Growing up we were very competitive. As I grew bigger and he stayed the same size, our competitions became less physical, but more mental. I can’t express how much I admire my brother, his professional work ethic, thoughtfulness, and how great of a father he is. It makes me very excited to have children of my own, knowing I have Cory as an example for me.
Best Man
How did you meet? Middle school Hobbies & interests: Football, video games, concerts Favorite memories: Playing football together, crying about our ex-girlfriends, EDC and almost dying Brenden and I originally met in middle school and became best friends in high school as football teammates. After our senior year of high school we took a trip to LA for a music festival. Not only was the festival one of the most fun experiences of my life, but we almost didn’t make it there due to a near car accident. It is a running joke between us that we actually died in that car accident and are just in purgatory. Brenden is one of the funniest, most caring and loveable people I have ever met. I am honored to have him as my best man.
Groomsman
How did you meet? Roommates at the Promontory House Hobbies & interests: GAMES!, sports, wings & beer Favorite memories: All the late-night talks and burritos I met Matt when I moved to Pacific Beach into the infamous Promontory House. It was one of the best times of my life. The endless hours spent drinking, playing games, contemplating global issues and debating politics with our roommates are memories I will never forget. Matt and I have had many conversations over the years about a large variety of topics. I’m always awestruck, not just about the range of his knowledge, but how we are on the same page about so many things. Often times when Matt and I are with other people, we can look at each other knowing we are thinking the same thing. I also appreciate Matt's many Irish exits!
Groomsman
How did you meet? Roommates at the Promontory House Hobbies & interests: Sports, partying Favorite memories: All the times going out in PB Kevin is definitely someone I give the title of partner in crime. When we lived together there wasn’t a weekend we didn’t have some kind of adventure. Kevin and I made it routine to go out to the bars and end the night at the same taco shop for burritos, because “there’s always a chance at the taco shop”. Kevin’s the person that’s always down to do anything. Extremely hung over from the night before, with zero sleep, he would get everyone up to go do things like go to avocado festivals, glow in the dark golfing or more burritos! We had a blast living together. I am so happy we had him as a roommate and now, to have him as a groomsman.
Groomsman
How did you meet? I took his room at the Promontory House Hobbies & interests: GAMES! books, nerd stuff Favorite memories: Jameson rapping, talking about marvel movies Jameson is easily one of the nicest, and most down to earth friends I have. I met Jameson when I took his room at the promontory house. The 1st words he said to me were, “cat, dog or falcon?” I responded “dog”. This was clearly not the correct answer, as we began to argue about dog vs. falcon. “Cat” was not even a considerable answer. These days, Jameson owns 1 dog, 2 cats and no falcon. Jameson and I also both love to nerd out with each other. Whether it’s talking about Red Rising or the new marvel movie coming out, I can always count on Jameson for some nerding out. PS. Everyone should ask him to rap at the wedding.
Groomsman
How did you meet? The Promontory House Hobbies & interests: Sports, games, socializing and doing things Favorite memories: Building giant Jenga, KAABOO, playing Cata Chris is yet another roommate from the promontory house. Between his career and wanting to live in a foreign country, I’ve always admired his high aspirations. Chris is a guy that is always down to do something and get together. One of my first memories I have with Chris was hanging out in the courtyard at the house, and all of the sudden he pulled out a bunch of power tools. Sparking my interest, I joined him in his attempt to build a giant Jenga set. After a few hours of cutting and sanding wood, we finally did it! Chris is definitely someone I appreciate spending time with, even if it’s just sanding wood.
Groomsman
How did you meet? Elementary School Hobbies & interests: Basketball, video games Favorite memories: Cabral squad Jordan I and met in elementary school. We bonded over our love of basketball. Jordan and I loved the Lakers and would constantly talk in terms of being Shaq and Kobe. Our relationship grew as we got older and became best friends. For those of you who do not know Jordan had a kidney transplant last year and through all the challenges he keeps an amazing attitude and it is a truly inspiring motivator to me. I have had moments where I felt down and out, but Jordan would come to mind, and how he never gives up and is always overcoming obstacles, no matter how large. I am so grateful to have such an inspiring person in my life, and know I wouldn’t be where I am without him.
