Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding ceremony and reception is semi-formal. Please note that there will not be a break between the festivities - our ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 and cocktail hour will commence only a few steps away from the ceremony location around 7:00-7:15. Please dress to impress (suit and tie, mid-length to floor length dresses, etc.), but keep in mind that a portion of the event will be held outside (in the late-June Florida heat!) We suggest light-weight fabrics and comfortable styles that provide breathability!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! The Beach Club has a large parking lot only a few steps from the main entrance to the ceremony and reception venues. Since the entire event is taking place within the Club, there will be no need to move vehicles between the festivities! The parking lot will easily accommodate all of our guests, whether they are arriving by car or golf cart. Please note that there are handicap accessible parking spots and wheelchair accessible entrances available, if needed.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate this day with the people closest to our hearts. Due to venue restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests that are not listed on the invitation. Rest assured you will be seated by people you know and love!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive to the ceremony by 6:15 to find your seat!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered to Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn. You can access a direct link to our registry under the "Registry" tab in the navigation bar!

Will there be a buffet or plated dinner?

Answer

We will be serving a three course plated dinner in addition to a variety of hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. Our second course entree will include a beef filet and shrimp with vegetables and risotto.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! We will offer alternate dishes for guests with allergies or dietary restrictions. Please check the box at the bottom of the reply card in your formal invitation to indicate that you would like an alternate dish. For those with a shellfish allergy, we will serve the same entree excluding shrimp. For those with dietary restrictions, there will be vegetarian and vegan dishes available.

Once I get to the Inn, how do I get around?

Answer

The Gasparilla Inn is centrally located on the island of Boca Grande. Most of the restaurants and activities on the island are a short walk from the Inn! Please note that there are no ride sharing options (like Uber and Lyft) available on the island, but truthfully you won't need one! We would recommend renting a car or golf cart if you are interested in exploring the island beyond the central hub around the Inn.

We would highly suggest renting a golf cart during your stay at the Inn! To rent through the Inn, please visit https://the-gasparilla-inn.com/activities/adventure-rentals/ for pricing or call 941.964.4625 to reserve. To rent outside of the Inn, please visit https://gasparilla-adventures.pointofrentalcloud.com/portal/ for rental information and pricing! There are hourly and daily rentals available through both providers!
