Their journey began in the halls of Perry High School back in August 2015, where fate sat Collin and Megan side by side in AP Biology. Collin quickly caught Megan’s eye, and before long, she was cheering him on from the bleachers at Friday night football games. In a move that was both clever and endearing, Collin asked Megan to homecoming with a bouquet of roses — and a literal bag of flour — because nothing says romance like a good pun. That homecoming night was unforgettable — Collin was the lone guy among Megan and her best girlfriends (a role he played with confidence, of course). But, as high school stories sometimes go, life took Megan and Collin in different directions as they explored new experiences and grew into their own. Though they went their separate ways for a while, neither realized that their paths were destined to cross again. Fast forward to February 2021 — years had passed, but the spark hadn’t faded. Collin, while visiting Tucson, realized that he was in the city of the one that got away. Megan was finishing her degree at the University of Arizona. Collin reached out. Despite his persistent charm and some serious persuasion, Megan, ever the stubborn one, was too busy for a date. But they couldn’t stop talking, and over the next few months, their daily conversations rekindled a familiar connection for one another. On June 7th, 2021, the two officially declared their relationship — in the Dairy Queen parking lot, with DQ Blizzards in hand. It was the sweet start of something real. That same month, Megan joined Collin's family for their annual reunion in Greer, Arizona, where the weekend was filled with competitive games of spoons, cornhole, and ladder toss. Somewhere between the laughter and late-night campfires, Megan didn’t just fall for Collin — she fell for the incredible family behind him. Just a couple of months later, Megan packed her bags for Indiana to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. From that moment on, their love was tested by four years of long distance — time zones apart, but hearts always close. They made it work with late night Facetime dates, airport reunions, and countdowns to school breaks. Then came October 8th, 2023 — a perfect beach day in Carlsbad, California during a family vacation. As the sun dipped behind the waves, Collin got down on one knee and asked Megan the question that would change their lives forever. In the time that followed, Collin poured his heart into building a life for them — working tirelessly in his and his family’s business and purchasing their first home in Gilbert, Arizona. After years of growing together — through long-distance, career dreams, and countless memories — Megan and Collin are finally ready to begin the next chapter side by side. They’re no longer counting miles, only moments. And they can’t wait to share this one with you.
