Travel Note
The easiest way to get around Bucharest is by using Uber or Bolt. Both are safe, reliable, and affordable, and they work very well across the city. We recommend downloading one of the apps before arriving. Public transport is also available (bus, tram, and metro), and routes can be checked on Google Maps. You can pay contactless directly inside the bus or tram, and at the metro entrance using your card or phone. That said, if you choose public transport, we recommend using the metro. During rush hours, buses and trams can be quite slow due to traffic. Please also note that while Google Maps shows routes, the timing is not always very reliable, so it’s best to allow some extra time when planning your trip.
