It all started with a chance encounter. Two people who love, serve, and worship Jehovah wholeheartedly. Said mutual love brought them together on Zoom. It was an early morning Zoom service group that met every Saturday at 7 AM. Through this, Dylan and Chenyl would see each other for the first time in February 2022 not knowing they were going to change each other’s lives forever. Over the course of months both joining every Saturday, they observed each other. By listening to Chenyl tell stories or listening to Dylan ask questions about service, they would get a good sense of each other and their humor while still not knowing as much about the other. It wasn’t until five months of service later when they finally met each other in person on June 4th, 2022. It all started with a series of questions, “When were you baptized? What music do you like?” By the end of the night, the two exchanged phone numbers. Over the course of the following month, they officially dated! One of the most important things for Dylan and Chenyl in their relationship was putting Jehovah first by establishing daily Bible reading, considering the daily text together, and family worship. Along with watching movies together, joking around, and playing sports, the bond between them grew stronger and stronger everyday. Their love for each other grew brighter and brighter. Dylan and Chenyl then took a big step. September 9th, 2023 the most beautiful and important question was asked, “Will you marry me?” 🎉 With a shocked and excited look on Chenyl’s face, she smiled big and answered with a resounding “YES!!” Chenyl and Dylan’s love story is not over; it’s only the beginning to forever.
