We're getting married!

Lindsay called me on a Friday afternoon as she was coming home from work. She said it had been an incredibly busy day, and did not have a chance to eat lunch. Little did she know, I wrote her a letter telling her how much she meant to me. This note also gave her instructions on what to do when she gets home. At this point, it was safe to assume Lindsay had an idea on what was about to happen when she arrived home. You can imagine the anxiousness during the car ride. When getting home from work, Lindsay noticed on our porch a bouquet of flowers, another note, and a box small enough to conceal a ring inside. Upon realizing this little box just contained a little sneak peak of more to come (it was only the Wedding Band), she continued into the house for more surprises. Inside, there was a fifth of her favorite Fireball Whiskey, just a little somethin somethin to calm her nerves, and another note telling her to go outside to our garage. In our garage, were balloons, champagne, more flowers, but still no Grand Finale. It was not until she opened the back door of our garage to find me, Matthew Martin Vespa, on one knee and ring in hand (quite an amazing ring in my humble opinion). I can never imagine a single second without Lindsay in my life. I knew I finally had to make forever happen. I never had any doubts about this moment. I finally popped the question to the woman I love more than anything in this world. After fighting back a few tears, this crazy woman said YES! Maybe not the most picture perfect engagement, but to me (and hopefully her) it was moment that will never be forgotten. And, she said Yes. To me, that is perfect enough. I love you future Lindsay Vespa
