We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Here's the scoop of how Michael and Yanay met! On October of 2015, Yanay was in Tallahassee visting Florida State University with her closest girl friends and Michael coincidentally happened to also be in town visiting his buddy Jason. It was a roaring weekend as the most anticipated game of the year UM v.s FSU was taking place on Seminole grounds. Yanay and her best friends joined the tailgating festivities which led them to Jason's townhouse party. At this party, Michael was coincidentally there hanging out with his friends. The girls walked around the party and situated themselves at the video game section where they played a very competitive round of "Don't Drink & Drive" Super Mario Kart. [If you don't know the rules: each player needs to chug an entire beer at the beginning, during or right before finishing the race while also racing against each other for first place. At no given moment can a player drink and drive at the same time.] Yanay was standing behind the sofa amused at the game her friends were playing and rooting them on, when suddenly she felt a presence next to her. The person standing beside her, which she had not yet looked at, made a witty comment which actually got her attention and made her genuinely laugh. [Sidenote: this is Yanay's favorite type of humor] . This was especially funny to her so the smile on her face was huge. As she was smiling, she finally looks beside her and locked eyes with HIM. She was INSTANTLY mesmerized by Michael. They spent the rest of the time at the party together talking. Yanay's friends decided they wanted to leave so she was saying her goodbyes when Michael finally took down her number. It was only after they exchanged numbers that they got to know each other better and realized they both actually lived in Miami and in the same neighborhood! Fate much? It was a sure sign of the beginning of something special!

After a stressful year between full time school and work, Michael decided to surprise Yanay with a trip to Disney. But what she didn't know was that this trip had been planned for weeks and that the trip was all part of his plan to ask her the BIG question. He met with her family, behind her back, a few weeks prior to ask for their blessing. Not only did they accept but they jumped on the opportunity to help plan this moment. After brainstorming for a while, both families came together with Michael and planned the perfect proposal. They were all secretly a part of this trip although she thought it was just them two joining Alex and his fiance Cristy. The plan was to have a caricature artist draw out the proposal instead of an ordinary picture. Michael and Yanay's families both arrived hours earlier at Magic Kingdom to set up the entire proposal before they got there later that afternoon. When they finally arrived at the park, the boys made a bathroom stop so that Alex can secretly hand over the ring box to Michael. Michael was so nervous he kept flipping the ring box open in his pocket so much until it finally broke. [OMG]. The plan was in action and the couples were making their way to the proposal site when Michael saw a caricature artist and asked Yanay if she wanted to get their picture drawn so they can hang it up in their home. After the longest 5 minutes Michael had ever waited, the drawing was finally finished and he was ready to ask the question. Yanay got up to take a look and was trying to make out what the drawing was trying to say as Michael got down on one knee. As she turned around, he said "Will you make me the happiest man in the world?" She was in complete disbelief. She broke into tears during the happiest moment of her life when she would say "Yes." The crowd cheered! Their families came out from hiding and rushed to surprise Yanay and Michael. She was even more surprised to see their families shared this special moment with the both of them!
