They met at Baseball USA, where all great love stories begin. Courtney had just taken a second job working in the back of the facility as a trainer, where she would get to help the youth baseball boys with strength and conditioning. Jordan was coaching those boys, while also helping with the operations of all of the teams. When Courtney first walked in, she said hello to Mallory at the front desk before heading to the back. Jordan immediately asked Mal "who was that?" (Courtney likes to think this where he fell in love, but we'll get there.) Over the next 8 months, they became friends from seeing each other every day at the facility and on the weekends at Perfect Game events. They shared lots of texts and calls about if the schedules were out, rain delays, and whatever ridiculous things one of the players said in the back. Obviously, the attraction was building because once again, how can you not be romantic about baseball? In the summer of 2021, Courtney decided that she was going to make a move on Jordan. As you can assume, Jordan did not decline her advances. A few weeks into this new development, Jordan asked Courtney to go to a wedding with him. She got to meet all of his close friends from home, who all asked him why they were not officially together. They laughed it off, but the thought of becoming an official couple lingered in the back of Court's mind. A few (too many) tequila shots into the night, Jordan told Courtney how great she was. The liquid courage pushed her to ask "great enough to be your girlfriend?" Once again, Jordan did not decline her advances. So here they are, 4 years later. 4 years of riding in the truck to games, while singing their favorite songs. 4 years of traveling to and experiencing new cities (and stadiums) together. 4 years of friends from the program becoming their family. 4 years of baseball? Absolutely. But it has truly been 4 years of continuing to fall in love with each other and the life they are building together.
