It’s still one of Katie’s grandparents’ favorite places to eat and a spot our family continues to enjoy.

Located in nearby Pottsville, Yuengling is America’s oldest brewery and a local favorite. Guests can enjoy a complimentary tour featuring historic brewing caves, a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing process, and a tasting at the end. Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine & Steam Train
Step back into Pennsylvania’s coal mining history with a visit to this unique attraction. Guests can ride 1,800 feet into a real anthracite coal mine in an open-air mine car and learn how coal was mined from the late 1800s through guided narration. Above ground, a restored 1920s steam locomotive offers a scenic ride around the side of Mahanoy Mountain, providing views of historic mining sites and landscapes.
