Family & Friends, Due to current circumstances, we've decided to cancel our wedding scheduled in California. Although our plans have changed, our love for one another has not. We will stick to our original date of September 6, 2020 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Detroit. As much as we would to celebrate with you, you mean way too much to us to take the risk. Pour yourself a glass and join us virtually as we celebrate our love and become husband and wife! Details below: Please feel free to join us virtually via Zoom or Facebook Live. Zoom ID: 829 0204 6281 Zoom Password: 094384 If you're local, feel free to join us the following day, September 7th, for our "I Do BBQ" between 1-6pm at Heritage Park in South Pavilions 4 & 5 (1150 S. Canton Road, Canton, Michigan 48188). We will practice social distancing.
Our story began in December 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Impact Movement’s national conference. After a mutual friend introduced us, we realized that we both worked in Education for the same company. We bonded over our love for our students and Cayla’s decision to move to Detroit all the way from California. In the months to follow, we became great friends and eventually had our first date. On our first date we learned we eat french fries completely different, both love plays, we are die hard supporters of our alma maters, and both have a heart for community. From that first date we knew there was something incredibly special about one another and the rest is history!
