We met at a mutual friends grad party! We didn't talk a whole lot but Bryan proceeded to invite me to his grad party later that summer. I didn't attend his grad party because I didn't feel like I knew him enough but we did become friends on Facebook. I later reached out to him and wanted to know what he was going to do with his life and it went from there!
The clock was ticking. I knew it was time. I began planning the proposal a few weeks prior to it happening. I knew I wanted to do it at the Minnesota State Fair because we had an ongoing joke about it. When Michelle and I began dating, she did not think it would last longer than 2 weeks. *gasp* I know right? Well we certainly made it past 2 weeks. In the summer of 2012, we were sitting in her living room and a commercial about the MN State Fair came on TV then Michelle turns to me and says "If we're still together by then, do you want to go?". Next you hear the loudest audible gasp from her mom, Mary, in the kitchen who exclaims "Michelle Lynn! How rude!". So every year since then, we joke about whether or not we will make it to the State Fair. It was only fitting to ask her then and there if she would be my State Fair partner forever.
