Bryce and Emma’s story is one that quietly unfolded in the most ordinary—and meaningful—places. They first met at University Baptist Church in Beavercreek, Ohio, on the same day they both became members. At the time, it was simply a shared moment, one of many small threads that would later be woven into something much greater. Over the next couple of years, their paths continued to cross as they served on the worship team together. They were friends, but just two people unaware of what God was preparing behind the scenes. Then, in early 2025, things began to change. Just two weeks before they started dating, Emma accepted a position as a worship leader at Cornerstone Church in Ames, Iowa with the Salt Company. She said yes, knowing it would take her hundreds of miles away after graduation. Around that same time, Bryce and Emma began to see each other differently. Despite the uncertainty—and the very real possibility of long distance—they chose to take a step of faith and began dating in February 2025. That spring, Emma graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Worship Ministry, and Bryce earned his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University. Soon after, Emma moved to Iowa to begin her new role, stepping into a new chapter while their relationship stretched across the distance. Before settling into post-grad life, Bryce visited Emma’s family in Colorado and then set off on a six-week backpacking trip through Asia. It was during that time, Bryce received unexpected and exciting news: he had been offered a job as a Test Engineer with Emerson & Fisher Controls, located just 40 minutes from Ames. In July 2025, Bryce made the move to Iowa, closing the distance and beginning life in the same place as Emma once again. Since then, their time has been marked by deep joy, steady growth, and a clear sense of God’s faithfulness—through every high and low, and through the simple, sweet adventures of life in the cornfields of Iowa. Now, as they look ahead to getting married this coming July, they do so with full hearts—grateful for every step that brought them here and excited for the life they will continue to build together, trusting the story God is still writing. – Jeremiah 29:11 & Deuteronomy 31:6
