Is there a dress code?
Answer
While our wedding will have a relaxed, tropical vibe, we kindly ask that guests dress in Resort Elegant attire. Think lightweight fabrics, vibrant colors, and polished looks appropriate for a celebration. No shorts, Hawaiian shirts, or flip-flops, please. Our bridesmaids will be dressed in lilac, so we encourage guests to choose other colors when selecting attire! For Women: Elegant, flowy maxi dresses or dressy cocktail dresses. (bright colors encouraged!) For Men: Linen or dress pants with a collared shirt. Jackets are optional but welcomed. No shorts or beachwear. Please note that some of the resort’s restaurants require men to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

Do I need a passport?

Yes! (You need at least 6 months remaining on your passport or you will run into issues).

Is this an all-inclusive resort?
Answer
Yes, it is! All drinks/food are included in your room rate. Enjoy 24/7 room service and access to various bars and restaurants. Do I have to stay at the resort?
Answer
Yes. The resort only allows hotel guests on property, so you must stay at Secrets Akumal Resort for the wedding.

How many days should I stay and when should I stay?
Answer
There is a 3 night minimum for the room block. We recommend staying Thursday 7/9-Sunday 7/12!

Can I bring my children?
Answer
Unfortunately no, Secrets Akumal is an adult only resort.

Where can I find the registry?
Answer
We do not have a registry, and are very appreciative of those who are able to make the trip. Your presence is a gift in itself.
Question
What is NOT included with the travel block booking?
Answer
Flights & transfer from airport to hotel & vice versa. It is best to fly into Cancun International or Tulum International. We highly recommend using Amstar for your transfer. We have used them every time we have traveled to Mexico. If you need help or want to coordinate with others please let us know!
